Ok who's up for a 6 week challenge?

Most people get to a point in their weight loss program why bother? 

Why because you want a change in life you want a healthy life one that you are not carrying around so much additional weight, you can run and play with your children without running out of breath.
Most people say I am going on a diet, well diets just don't work there are so many different diets these days;
Atkins, Protein Power, Ketogenic, Zone Diet, Pritikin Diet, Dean Ornish diet,  Blood type Diet,
Dukan Diet the list just goes on and on....

 Why not give healthy eating ago?  
Why not reduce your Processed food intake?
Why not reduce your meal size?
Why not put time a side 3-4 times a week for exercise?
 
Why because we these days are not educated enough about food groups plus we have become a very lazy race we think I am so tired I can't be bothered to go for a walk to the gym etc and I am just going to get take out.

What are we teaching our children. 
 
A person once said to me she doesn't like teaching her daughter how to cook because her daughter takes to long preparing the food !! 
 
Why not plan ahead look at the week head. Write a shopping lost. 
Yes a shopping list !!
Write the weekly menu on the fridge each morning you know what you are having that night and you can start to prepare, defrost the meet even start preparation during the day if you have time...
It's easy to get take away they have a menu you chose what you want and WOLLA there is your meal.     Don't get me wrong take out is great as treat.  
  
Ok back to the fad diet, yes you will lose weight quickly if you stick to the diet but what damage are you doing to your body? 
I assume most of you don't know, most of you have not taken the time to research the side effects of a high protein diet !
Would you take a drug without looking at the side effects?
 
The long term effect on fad diets has proven over the years to fail, 

So why not give healthy eating ago?   What have you got to lose?  mmm let me think weight !!  
  
Food intake is not the only way to lose weight and get healthy movement also plays a huge part. 
I know two people who are trying to get healthy and reduce body fat at the same time.

Both said there is really nothing wrong with their diets. Both said I have no time to exercise. 
Well both have slightly modified their diets and both have started movement.  
 
One comes to Group Training and does a PT session weekly. 
The other walks 4 times a week.
Look at their results one has lost over 22 cm and the other is
down 9.5 kgs. 



Both by slightly changing their food intake and doing some
activity.

Do you think you might fall off the weight loss wagon over Easter?  Traditionally Easter
is the time when you will be tempted you have been good since 1st January why
not treat my self you might be telling your self .... 

Well yes have a treat but in moderation.  
 
Don’t use Easter as an excuse not to get back into
training stick to your program, MyPT is open Easter Monday so NO excuse to give
this sessions a miss.
